CONSUMER SURVEY ANALYSIS

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

For this project, our group conducted a survey for 494 consumers who purchase golf apparel for themselves or their families in the United States. The survey was distributed using convenience sampling through social media and Amazon Mechanical Turk between September 10, 2021, and September 23, 2021. The survey is to understand consumer's demographic, sustainability perception, sports participation motivation, functionality need, and golf apparel purchase behavior. The survey found that a majority of people who filled it out ranged from twenty-one to forty years old, and a majority defined their ethnicity as Caucasian/European American. A majority of people who filled out the survey were male, 61% male and 39% female, and 61% of all participants indicated they had a Bachelor's degree. From the research found, we can conclude most participants prefer golf apparel that is made with cotton, and have bought cotton golf apparel in the past. Most participants defined their style on the golf course as casual, classy, and trendy, 40% of consumers associating their style with casual.
